& Terms
By scheduling, authorizing, or accepting service from Step Up Customs ("the Company"), the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms set forth in this Service Policy & Terms agreement ("Agreement").
1. Limitation of Liability
Customer acknowledges and agrees that Step Up Customs is not responsible for pre-existing vehicle issues, hidden electrical problems, warning lights, faulty wiring, previous aftermarket installations, incompatible or defective equipment, customer-supplied parts, manufacturer defects, brittle trim clips/panels, or any other issue not directly caused by Step Up Customs' negligent workmanship. Step Up Customs' liability, if any, is limited to the direct repair or re-performance of the specific service performed, and in no event shall exceed the total amount paid by the Customer for the service giving rise to the claim. Step Up Customs shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.
2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours before the scheduled service without penalty. To cancel or reschedule, contact Step Up Customs at 520-280-5841. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee at the Company's discretion.
3. Right to Refuse Service
Step Up Customs reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time, for any lawful reason, including but not limited to unsafe working conditions, vehicle or equipment conditions that pose a risk to the technician or property, or non-payment.
4. Customer-Provided Equipment & Incomplete Installation Fees
The Customer is solely responsible for ensuring that all customer-provided equipment, parts, wiring harnesses, adapters, and accessories are compatible, genuine, and in proper working condition prior to the scheduled appointment.
Travel Fee ($50): If the technician arrives at the scheduled location and is unable to complete the installation because customer-provided equipment is faulty, damaged, incompatible, incomplete, or otherwise unusable, a $50 travel fee will apply once work has already been performed. This includes, but is not limited to, removing or reinstalling a stereo system, removing and replacing trim panels, accessing or modifying wiring, testing equipment, troubleshooting, or completing other installation-related labor.
Incomplete Job Service Fee ($100 flat): If the technician performs more than one hour of labor but cannot complete the job due to circumstances outside the technician's control — and not due to the technician's workmanship — Step Up Customs reserves the right to charge a flat $100 service fee. Qualifying circumstances include, without limitation, defective or incompatible equipment, missing parts, pre-existing wiring damage, undisclosed vehicle modifications, electrical issues, locked or inaccessible vehicle features, or inaccurate information provided by the Customer.
These fees compensate the technician for travel, time, labor, disassembly, reassembly, testing, and troubleshooting performed, regardless of whether the requested installation is completed. Additional travel, parts, repairs, or return appointments will be quoted and charged separately, and require Customer approval before being performed.
5. Payment
Payment for services rendered, including any applicable fees described in Section 4, is due at the time service is provided unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Step Up Customs. Step Up Customs reserves the right to pursue any lawful means of collection for unpaid balances, and the Customer agrees to reimburse reasonable collection costs, including attorney's fees, to the extent permitted by law.
6. Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
7. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
8. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Customer and Step Up Customs regarding the services described herein and supersedes all prior oral or written agreements on the subject matter. This Agreement may only be modified in writing signed by both parties.
